Zeiss Standard Speeds: Though they’ve been around for over 40 years now, the Standards Speeds are still being used all over the industry. Like the Super Speeds, they are a little softer than modern lenses and don’t handle contrast quite as well. But, they still produce a fantastic image and are great for productions that want a high quality look but don’ have a big budget. I prefer the look of them over that which you get from a CP2 or Canon Cinema lenses, and their natural softness and easy flaring do have advantages for certain styles of shooting. They are also very compact and lightweight, so they are easy to work with and would go well with handheld or Steadicam shooting. Set includes:
