Canon EF: Most Canon lenses designed for the EF mount are still lenses. That doesn’t mean that they don’t produce a good image, it just means that they are as friendly or easy to work with when shooting moving images and video. They will breathe more, have shallower depth of focus that hinders focus pulling, and will flare easily and in unpleasant ways. However, for most productions out there that have budgetary issues, they are a good option. I’ve shot with these lenses a lot and know they can hold up to most final outputs, especially web streaming. They are also extremely lightweight and have a good deal of accessories readily available for them. They are far from perfect, but for shooting on a budget, they are a great option. Options include:
